When I had my first Bowen Therapy session in 2005 for a shoulder injury that would not heal, I was amazed and intrigued. With the first two gentle moves on each side of the spine on the lower back, I was hooked. I went into a very deep state of relaxation that I recognized from years of meditation as the healing state for mind and body. At that moment I decided to change careers from school teaching to Bowen Therapy.

It has been a wonderful journey and in one way it has a similar principle to teaching. In school, you are facilitating learning by working with the intelligence, energy and creativity of each student. In Bowen Therapy,  you are sensitively working with the intelligence and energy of the client. In fact, the client is the healer.

I am a Bowtech-accredited therapist and member of the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and the Bowen Association of Australia. Bowtech is the original Bowen Therapy technique.
