Gentle bodywork for effective, natural healing

Tom Bowen, from Geelong developed this unique healing technique during the 1950s to the 1980s.  Bowen Therapy has now spread to 30 countries.

It is an effective yet gentle hands-on healing technique, in which subtle moves are applied sensitively to muscles, tendons, fascia and nerves. No harsh manipulation is used. These moves are followed by very important quiet integration periods when the therapist leaves the room and the body/mind via the autonomic nervous system (ans) resets from stress, tension fight and fear to rest and digest mode. This is the healing mode.

The technique addresses not only the muscle-skeletal framework, but also the fascia, nerves and internal organs. The body’s integrated response improves circulation and lymphatic drainage and aids in the assimilation of nutrients and elimination of toxins.

Bowen therapy is appropriate for all ages.

It can assist with recovery from neuro-muscular pain and many acute and chronic conditions.
